Looks Matter to Women in Cities, But Not to Country Women

According to a new study, physical appearance is an important part of being happy to women who live in cities, but it is not a major factor for happiness among those who live in the country. The researchers found that city women who were even slightly below average in terms of physical appearance were much worse off in terms of overall happiness. But among their country-dwelling women, those who were slightly chubby appeared to be somewhat happier than their normal weight counterparts.
