I have been using CPAP, with a chinstrap for 6 years. Over time my pressure has been increased from 7 co to 12. About 8 weeks ago I started having severe conjestion. I am not wondering if this could be due to a too lose chinstrap. the on line literature is non specific.

Thanks

I needed a full face mask because I could not keep my mouth shut for the first year on CPAP. I finally learned to breath using my nose with a Hybrid mask that has both pillows and a mouth cushion. It has a chin-cup under my chin that supports my jaw and id I absolutely have to, I can breath through my mouth. If I have a bad cold, I may breathe through my nose. I don't like the steriod nasal sprays and my doctor says that we can become addicted to them. Even when I breath through my mouth, which is not often, my numbers are good with this mask. Not perfect, but good. Before the Hybrid mask, I tried a mask called the Swift, but I could not breathe against the air flow with that mask so I turned to a full face mask called the Quattro. The Quattro was comfortable, but the Hybrid is by far the best for me so far. I am still getting use to all this. I hope I can start loosing weight now, finally.

Sorry for the typo spelling errors, Dortor.

I also wanted to ask you a question.

With the Hybrid, I use a Remstar Lite cpap with a humidifyier called a Passover humidifier. The water does not warm up with a passover humidifier. Should I try to get a heated humidifier? If I have a bad cold and have to breathe with my mouth, I wake up with my mouth a little dry.
