About Me

Ret. neurologist with CPAP resistant OSA. After several surgeries (none worked), finally opted for the "gold standard", a tracheostomy and have done well since. I had a special interest in sleep disorders before discovering I had OSA. Now that I've got that behind me I'm on a soap box to get the word out to those who don't know anything about the disorder. I'm dismayed by the lack of knowledge not only by the general public (understandable if they are not being educated), but particularly by the medical community in general. I'm not here to place blame, but to share what I've learned along the way. By the way, I'm board certified in neurology, not in sleep medicine, but I can say with confidence that I have learned more about OSA in the last 10 years from the outside - in and, more importantly, from the inside-out than most of my fellow neurologists. I don't have all the answers, but I do have some.
