Hi M07. My name is MK and I am the producer of this site. Thanks so much for writing.

First and foremost, my thoughts go out to your wife. While I don't have sleep problems or fibromyalgia- I think I can direct you to some information that might help your wife.

Have you visited our sister site on Chronic Pain? There is a section on this site dedicated to Fibromyalgia, which can answer a lot of your general questions about the disease, as well as your questions about sleep. Additionally, you can check out Sleep: Some Tips, a blog geared towards people like your wife who are living with Chronic Pain.

    I hope this helps.

My wife also has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. She had sleeping problems also. She takes Trazadone 75mg along with 3mg of melatonin. The Trazadone is a prescription drug but a non narcotic. She has been sleeping very well with no side effects. The Trazadone was prescribed by her Family Physician. The melatonin was added by her fibro doctor. She began going to a Fibro and fatigue center in Cleveland, Oh last year. You mentioned Dr. Teitlebaum I was not sure if you went to a clinic or just tried some solutions from online. The fibro and fatigue centers do not accept insurance so you have to pay up front and the first two visits are expensive. but after that on average we spend about 200.00 every 3 months. It has really helped my wife. the clinic is about an hours drive for us but well worth it to see the spirit back in her eyes. Good luck to. I hope this helps.
