    Good point Kate, excellent point.

But truthfully what we eat and drink can really effect how we sleep.  Our Expert Florence Cardinal discusses this in two posts.  One is "A Diet May Mean Better Sleep" in which she highlights the following:

    • Eat the proper foods. Be aware of nutritional content. Know your vitamins and minerals, how much of each you need and what foods are rich in these nutrients.
    • Avoid fatty foods, especially those high in cholesterol. Have your doctor check your cholesterol level and try to keep it under control. And remember, fatty foods produce fatty people.
    • Keep your consumption of sweet desserts, candy and anything high in sugar content to a minimum. Sugary treats do taste delicious, but they are filled with empty calories, and not only supply little nutrition, but they also cause weight gain.

For more go to her post - it's worth it!

Now the other is "No Really, Coffee Isn't Good For You".  Some of her tips here are:

    • Keep track of how much caffeine you consume each day. A list of foods and beverages that contain caffeine appears at the end of this article. Also check the contents of any medication you take, including over-the-counter products.
    • Gradually reduce your intake of coffee. If you start to get withdrawal symptoms, stay at that level until they disappear.
    • Exercise in place of coffee. It gets your blood running, and increases energy. It also gets your mind off your usual cup of coffee.

All I can say is, "Maybe someday, but just not today!".  UGH.

Thanks and all the best, sue (moderator)
