A great SharePost topic, thank you. Although my 5-year-old son generally sleeps like a rock, I notice that once in a while, particularly during growth spurts, he is quite restless at night. Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) can affect children as well, and his little legs tend to not stay still at certain stages of sleep (i.e. just after falling asleep, early REM), which could be linked to the old adage "growing pains," as he sometimes wakes and complains of his legs "hurting." More food for thought for parents.
