The clocks went back an hour on November 4th. I often wonder what the purpose of this twice yearly muddling of the brain with time changes. The original purpose was to give farmers and other workers extra daylight hours during the summer, but now almost all machinery is equipped with bright lights...

    Hi Florence.  I'm Sue and have started as a contributor to this site recently.  Thanks so much for your post.

     

    I too have wondered why we change the clocks.  But I have to say with 3 young children I look forward to the early darkness for a bit earlier shutdown each evening!
