It's difficult enforcing good habits with teenagers because they have become independent and think they know more than their parents. I know. I raised six of them through those difficult years. So, the sooner the rules about schedules and sleep are introduced and enforced, the better/.

Thanks Florence for sharing this important information with us. I am a few years away from the surly teenager as myoldest is 4 1/2 years old. But I have to say one can never be too prepared for teenage children! It really is crucial to development healthy sleeping habits while the kids are young - rountine is important. Maybe it will help as they grow up - trying to reinforce the routine part even while the hormones and sleep patterns change.
