My mom sleeps about 2 hours or more around 3pm and then she excuses herself for this resting period saying that she woke up at 3 or 4am and couldn't go to sleep. I tell her that the reason she can't sleep is because she is sleeping during the day and it is messing up her sleeping schedule. I then showed her this article. She says now that she agrees with the article saying she only "sleeps" 20-40mins but is awake really with her eye closed the majority of the time. Is this 20-40mins of sleeping time including "resting" time?
