    As you've indicated, night sweats, although uncomfortable, usually are not a sign of a serious underlying medical condition. Making simples changes, such as in the temperature of the room or what you eat earlier that day, can make a difference. However, it's when night sweats occur regularly and disrupt your sleep that might be cause for concern. Consult your doctor if this is the case for you.
