Yes, often the medications you take can affect how sleepy you are during the day. Talk with your doctor about this first.
Then, I see a lot of "sitting" and "watching TV" in your message. I often find that when I become too sedative, too still and relaxed, I tend to fall asleep more easily during the day. To remedy this, try to plan some physical and mental activities for yourself. Moving your body (i.e. housework, yardwork, shopping, etc.) and your mind (i.e. reading, writing, etc.) can help you stay awake and more alert during the daytime hours - and make your nighttime sleep more beneficial.
