My Apnea can wait until after I get my little 5 yr old grand-daughter straitened out. She has been diagnosed with OSA. Sometimes upon awakening from a nap or sleep, or when she first falls asleep, she Halluninates, her eyes will shift rapidly from left to right, she can't move, she can barely nod her head yes or no, and she fully understands what is going on around her, is this sleep paralysis? If it is when I touch her or rub her,it doesn't leave. She has never had one of these attacks when she is awake during the day. It's always been connected with her sleep. The Dallas doctor was real quick to label hr with Eptilepsy. After each of these attacks I kept thinking that it wasn't an Eptileptic Seizure. I've seen quiet a few of those in my time and it just wasn't so. It all boiled down to a sleep study and OSA came into the picture. I don't know if she's having sleep paralysis or Cataplexy. She goes in for tonsill and adnoid removal 6-26-07. I need some one to talk to that has experienced this with their sleep disorder. Someone please help.
