Thanks for this post.  With winter settling in all around the country (except of course in Northern Virginia today where I had the windows open and it was close to 65 degrees!) people should be aware of their moods and behaviors and actions.  If they seem to fit the patterns you've discussed, it migh tbe time to talk to a doctor about what is happening.

My husband, age 83, suffers from RBD. Last night he hit me very hard and I was afraid to go back to bed! I am tired! He always feels sorry that he does this, and we all know this is never done intentionally to me. I have heard/read that melatonin is helpful for this.

He has lunged out of bed and hit his head on the floor, kicked and punched me so many times I can't count them. He also suffers from hemi-crania-continum headaches and has for about 15 years. He takes indomethacin 2 to 3 times a day along with Tylenol. He know about the side affects but at some point in time quality of life versus side effects comes in.

Is RBD associated with headaches? I think I am going to sleep in our guest room. I have had enough!
