Poor sleep linked to cognitive decline in older women

Researchers at the San Francisco VA Medical Center have reported a link between poor sleep and elderly women who have experienced cognitive decline, such that associated with Alzheimer's disease.

 

After age 65, women with cognitive decline were more likely to sleep poorly than women whose cognition did not decline, according to the study published in the July 17, 2007 issue of Neurology.
