I have been on BiPap for 3 years or so. My Dr. just switched me over to an Auto-set CPAP, to see if I could tolerate it better, since my pressures were so high on BiPap.
Autoset is working. However, I find myself mouth breathing more in my sleep, and drooling an awful lot.. About the same time, another Dr. put me on Neurontin to help with some other issues. I take the Neurontin at night, and I do notice is changes the quality of my sleep. I don't want to have to get a sleep study everytime my meds change, but I am not sure what else I can do.
Any suggestions?

Dear rwalker732,
Thanks so much for your post. I am a moderator for the site and though I am not medically trained, I will try to answer some of your questions and be here even if you just need to talk.
From what I have read on other posts from both cpap using sleep disorder patients as well as experts is this can be quite the long haul. What I mean to say is that it can take several months and mutiple attempts with equipment and medications to come up with the right combinationthat will work for you.
My best suggestion is that you continue to discuss this with you doctor and have him advise on the best way to get to the most comfortable and healthful solution.
All the best, sue
