My friend told me that she "read in a newspaper column" that someone put bars of soap in a pillow case and pillow and slept with that on their legs and it helped RLS movement at night.  Sounds crazy, but has anyone tried it?

I haven't tried that, but I have tried sleep in different rooms, different temperatives, different sheets/blankets...all to no avail.  Perhaps the soap helps minimize the minor leg spasms that are common in people with RLS although its hard for me to imagine that the weight would be effective in controlling the movement.  I would imagine the muscles will still twitch even if its not as easy for the legs to move.
