New Provigil Label Warns of Deadly Skin Disease

By mkstump Thursday, October 25, 2007

Hey folks! Writing to let you know that Provigil, a popular medication used to treat narcolepsy, and to help shift workers stay awake, is now being required by the FDA to warn against potential side effects that include deadly skin rashes and psychiatric symptoms.

According to Cephalon, Inc., the company who makes Provigil, a letter was sent to doctors last month alerting them to this change.

Needless to say, if you experience any strange rashes, or notice a drastic difference in your behavior after taking this drug, contact your doctor immediately.
