Q: what is cause of nocturnal myoclonus

Had an onset of severe nocturnal myoclonus starting immediately following total knee replacement. had a femoral block as well as spinal block.  symptoms began as soon as blocks wore off.  never had a problem before this. I began timing them, had up to 73 within 35 minutes. Hubby had been sleepin on couch due to body jerking

I have had nocturnal myoclonus for 10+ years.  I controlled it with Klonopin, but recently, it isn't working any more.  I have them as often as you describe.  I am searching for answers.  If you have had any improvement, would love to hear.  Thanks so much.
