Sleep is not departure from wakefullness - it is simply a state in which you are 'unaware of your external environment" - but physiologically it is an active metabolic process - hence your reason for moving.  It varies person-to-person - and clearly movement is important since you can have muscle strain or even pressure sores a DVT (blood clot) without movement.  But it is variable with no predictability or precise number.
