A lot of times while lying on my side or back awake I get the sensation that after I exhale I cannot or have trouble in getting my next breath. When this happens my heart starts racing and then I have heart pain. I am going to have a sleep study but this happens when I am awake also. Do you have any answers for this? I have heart disease and a pacemaker.

pulmonary hypertension. blood pressue in lungs higher than other parts of body... various causes. see your doctor immeadiatly.he can help. will do tests to confirm.
