Q: My whole life I've only required 5 hours of sleep...

The five hours I require each night is very intense and nothing wakes me, nothing short heavy shaking or water. I was recently diagnosed with adhd, is this behavior a symptom of adhd?

Hi lizerdelia,

I'm not an expert or anything, but it doesn't seem like deep and intense sleep would be a sypmtom of ADHD - but why dont you check out this site to see some other potential symptoms.  Also, if you read Jerry Kennard's recent sharepost, you'll see that some researchers say that today's society may not actually need 8 hours a night, and that every person's needs are different.  So your 5 hours might actually be enough for you, specifically.  check it out and let me know what you think!
