Q: I have a problem getting a long burst of sleep, I go to bed but wake about half hour later, then go

back to sleep, but wake again about one hour later, then this continues about 3 to 4 times, then the sleep period lasts until morning.  The final sleep session is approximately 4 to 5 hours long and seems deep, but I would like to go to sleep and stay asleep until morning

thanks

Thanks for your question.  It would be hard to determine what is keeping you from a full night's sleep.  It is possible that a sleep study could help determine what is happening - insomnia, restless leg syndrome, or some other kind of sleep issue.

Hope this helps and all the best, sue
