Drugs are only a very temporary solution to sleep problems - look at the side effects they have caused. Our bodies are both chemical and electrical. The electrical stimulates the chemical so it makes sense to work with that aspect so that your sleep/wake centre is in sync and will automatically trigger sleep when it gets dark and wake you when it is light. The natural solution to re-set your internal clock is to let a technology called CES gently re-balance your system. It's safe and has been around for more than 50 years.
