Q: My 7 month old wakes every 1-2 hours at night

My daughter is breastfed and refuses to take a bottle so my partner cant help. I feed her when she wakes as it soothes her and then she goes back down, but sometimes she can feed for an hour before going back to sleep. She has always been like this since she was born. She has 3 solid meals a day, i hoped this might fill her up and she would sleep more but it hasnt made a difference. As you can imagine im exhausted as iv had 7 months of this. I thought she would sleep better as she got older and i know so many mums who's children sleep through the night. Id just be pleased if i could sleep for more than 2 hours at a time. Do have any advice that could help. Thanks.

to my knowledge theres not much you can do baby probably not hungry just lonely!

I EXPLAINE MYSELF!   a baby goes thru a complete sleep cycle every hour  for the first 6 months WICH MEANS  every hour a new cycle starts so they may or may not wake!

this is all due to nervous system that is immature some develop faster some slower!

in the meantime i would take a night no one works the next morning to keep bottle close to your breast when feeding and forcing it in and out everytime she feeds during the night at a point baby will find it easyer out of the bottle !  use a stage 4 feeding tip for more agressive feeders milk will flow faster thenafter baby will feed with lesss effort   and again make shure bottlle tip fast flowing what you want is baby to find the bottle easyer to suck on!!!!

I had 2 sons who never slept.  Finally after months of not sleeping myself I gave in and brought my son to bed with me.  I know this is very hot topic.  However, for my family it worked, my son slept next to me and nursed whenever he needed to and I slept through the night.  Gradually he stopped nursing and just snuggled close to me.  Not a solution for everyone, but is one that can work, as long as you use common sense and are safe.
