Q: Back sleep with knees bent up and one or both leg/knee lops to the side. Extreme lower back pain!!!

I am a 39 yr old male. For the last year I have been sleeping on my back and through the night I will bend my knees up and one always falls to the side without my knowing it; obviously. When I wake up, I am in tremendous pain in my lower back and hips as the leg that lops over is just hanging there. I have tried sleeping on my side, but eventually turn over to my back sometime through the night. Any suggestions? Please help!!
