Thank you for your question. Medications that you buy online are most likely not regulated by the FDA, so there's no way to know what goes into the pill you're taking. Though your friend may be able to buy the medication cheaper online, there's no guarantee that it's what she wants and needs. It may turn out to be just a sugar pill, or it may have the wrong amount of medication in it. I would strongly recommend against buying medications online. If she's trying to save money, look into ordering her prescriptions through a mail-order pharmacy. The prescriptions gets mailed in, and she receives (for most medications) a 3 month supply at a time. Most insurance companies today cover mail-order prescriptions, and some companies are even requiring it.
