I have been taking 2 mg of lorazepam every evening before bed so I can sleep. Falling asleep is very hard for me. Staying asleep is impossible. I now take 3mg of lorazepam before bed it's not working very well at all. I'm desperate, I just want to sleep and wake up feeling fresh. My doctor has tried to put me on antidepressant meds. I can't stand the way they make me feel. So, this I feel is not an option for me. Yes, my doctor say's i'm suffering from depression also. My heart attack really messed my head up good. I was only 40yrs. old when I had it. What I really am looking for is advise on on trying to sleep without feeling bad the next day. The lorazepam was working good for a couple of yrs. but now I don't think it is. Here is a list of other meds, I take: Lorazepam 3mg per day.

Pravastatin 40 mg per day. prevacid 30 mg per day . asparin 81 mg per day. Are these meds part of why I can't sleep?  by the way I had a  MRI brain scan because of headackes. That turned out to be o.k. thank God. I just want to feel good, HELP !

I almost forgot I also take 1 mg of mavik daily.                 thank you, Greg
