Q: Microscopic blood was found in my urine during a routine physical exam.

The only thing I have had related to this was a very painful bladder infection about 4 years ago. Once diagnosed and medicated it went away fairly quickly. My second colonoscopy went well 2 years ago. I am a very healthy 56 year old male.

After seeing a specialist I have been scheduled for a CT Scan followed by a systoscopic a week later. I have heard there is a better chance of finding or not finding something with the systoscopic. In an effort to concerve time and money, I am concerned that I do not need both exams. So my question is: Should I schedule the systoscopic first and then see if the CT scan is necessary?
