Q: this past Sept I was hospitalized with my 2nd bout of spinal meningitus(not the dangerous one)

But this time I now have had a cold or flu that takes me a couple of weeks to get over and then I start feeling better then whamo it starts all over again for another 2 or more

weeks I wake up in the middle of the night coughing and so on an so on...............does this sound serious ?

the mucous stays very thick in my nose and chest all the time.

Also when I get sick I also develop shingles small(but nonetheless

painful) but it only breaks out on my back on the left side in one particular spot same place always. The Doctor gave me Acyclovir  twice a day for this.

Anyway the infectious disease Dr says that the virus that causes

spinal meningitus lays dormant in my body and when I catch a cold

or virus it has a good chance of going into Spinal Meningitus. I am so tired of being

sick all the time does anyone have any Idea of what I can do to stop this I

feel as if nothing can be done. Am I going to be like this for good?

I just want to get well and stay well I am a newly wed for the third time and want to

enjoy my husband. seems as if when I start feeling better and we try to make plans

then I get sick again and another 2 or 3 or 4 weeks to try and get well. Please Help me!
