I am not a doctor, but my opinion may be useful as I am disabled, and have used cyclobenzaprine (flexural) and Lyrica together for some time. I also use Vicodin. I also took all the chemistry I could in high school, 2 1/2 years worth, and understand chemistry quite well. I can and do read all data given with each medicine. Lyrica bonds to GABA receptors in the cerebral/spinal fluid. It also bonds to the receptors that The GABA cannot. I find it helpful. It works differently than cyclobenzaprine. I have been going off cyclobenzaprine, and because of it's action with serotonin, I could not sleep at all till 10 AM the next day. So I'm going off it gradually. (I saved 5 pills for this.) And I don't miss the chronic dry mouth at all. I would keep taking the Lyrica. For sure. As a person heals it is good to change your chemistry gradually. Reply
