Q: My doctor's recommended course of treatment for my yet undiagnosed sleep disorder.

Awhile back I explained to my Voo Doo Witch Doctor GP about me being tired all the time. He gave me somekind of questionaire rating chart to fill out used to determine your level of sleepiness performing routine tasks. After my VDWDGP reviewed my answers and examining my nasal passages and throat he said I had a noticable narrowing of my esophagus, trachea, and nasal passages and according to the questionaire I most likely suffer from some type of sleep disorder. I performed 2 unsuccessful at home Sleep Apnea tests that were not able to give an accurate CO2 reading because both disrupted my sleep worse than the symptoms of my alleged sleep disorder. I explained to my doctor that treating the symptoms of Sleep Apnea or a type of Insomnia would not suffice, because I would not be able to sleep with something on or over my face or head. My doctor told me their are surgical alternatives, but none are permanent, please! tell me that he is a quack and does not know what he is talking about, apparently he is the local expert in Sleep disorders in this county, but take my word that does not mean much in a county as rural as the 1 I reside.
