Wish there was an easy answer.I have had chronic insomnia for about 27 years.Of course sometimes are worse than others and unfortunately it often seems to be worse for me.I have tried all of the suggestions of professionals first before resorting to meds. I think that the ones that helped me the most is to try to keep a regular sleep schedule. Go to bed at a regular time every night. Also try to get exercise in every day, even if it is hard. I try to do mine before supper because I have found if I go out for a walk to late in the evening it tends to wake me up rather than the fresh air tiring me out and encouraging sleep later. These suggestions do help, and I think that they are necessary to go hand in hand with meds. Unfortunately for me the meds are necessary. You are pretty young though going that route. I finally had to resort to them when the lack of sleed was affecting my mood greatly.   FAB
