I am a cronic insomniac. My doctor says I am healthy so not to worry about it.  Easy for him to say!  I've been going through this for over 10 years.  I cannot fall asleep, and if I do fall asleep, it doesn't last.  I get about 2 hours of sleep per night and it is 30 minutes here and 15 minutes there.  I am 53 years old and have gone through menapause.  I've tried every otc drugs, including herbal remedies like melatonin.  I've tried ambien and a couple of anti-deppresents, my doctor thought I was depressed, but I am not.  I've been hypnotized, tried to relax with music, watch tv until i can't keep my eyes open any more.  I've tried no pillow, 2-3 pillows, I've tried laying on the couch, sitting in a chair, you name I've tried it.  What should I do?  Can you help me?  How about sleep centers? It would be HEAVEN to be able to sleep for even 4 hours if it was solid sleep.  HELP ME!
