Perhaps you do not have the setting correct via the physician not realizing you are getting no sleep? Also, you may be having silent panic attacks in that you do not want to wear a mask. The new CPAPS now have a small clip that goes on each side of the inner nostril. I could not use my CPAP because of panic attacks (years ago) and decided to take the restless leg syndrome med my doctor suggested. It works for me in that I sleep and if I don't take it early enough in the evening, I sleep too late!   Also, I was not convinced that I had restless leg syndrome since I had NO SYMPTOMS during the day. Since childhood I would awake with the covers and pillows on the floor and poor sleep quality. The doctor finally convinced me that I had restless legs by showing me the result of TWO sleep studies (I am hard headed on meds).   I hope this helps and GOD BLESS!
