Q: Is hand shaking-trembling a symptom of bipolar I Disorder?

My son was diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder on March 24, 2009.  Before he started on medication (Geodon in PM and Lamictal in AM)and stopped his heavy drinking, his hands used to shake-tremble.  I had noticed this before March 24th for many years before his diagnosis. They stopped shaking-trembling as soon as he started on the medications mentioned above.  Is this a symptom of bipolar I disorder?  Could this have been due to his bipolar I disorder not being treated?
