Bad nightmares may signal suicide symptoms

People who are experiencing severe nightmares may be at higher risk for suicide, a new study has found. In a recent experiment, investigators looked 82 men and women who were awaiting an emergency psychiatric evaluation before being admitted to a community mental health hospital. The researchers asked these adults about their nightmares, sleep patterns, depression, and suicidal behaviors.
