The Medical Accountability Network has criticized Wyeth for not making the public more aware that Effexor may cause homicidal thoughts in some users. Though Wyeth did add the rare side effect to Effexor's labeling last year, the warning was placed on page 36 of the documentation, says the watchdog group, and no letters were sent to doctors announcing it.
