A good night's sleep may help improve some Alzheimer's patients' memory. Experts say that many older people have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and patients with dementia who suffer from OSA are more likely to be depressed and to have attention and memory problems. In the recent study, researchers found that Alzheimer's patients who used a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device overnight slept longer and had better cognition than patients who did not use a CPAP.
