Changing or stopping medications can cause more nightmares

Stress, medications, and sleep disorders can cause a person to have more nightmares or to wake up out of a nightmare and remember it, according to new research. One researcher described a nightmare as a long, involved dream coming out of REM sleep. Taking a new medication or stopping a prescription can cause an increase in nightmares. Read more »
