A new computerized wristband is designed to help school children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder focus on their work. The device allows a teacher to send gentle vibrations to the wristband when the student acts out or needs prompting to refocus his or her attention. The device is being viewed as a complement to ADHD medications and a way to teach behavioral skills.
