A device that regulates breathing in people with sleep apnea may
reduce blood pressure in addition to treating the nighttime
breathing disorder. A study of people who used a continuous
positive airway pressure device showed that they had lower blood
pressure than people who didn't use the device. Patients who used
the CPAP machine for more than five hours a night had the most
success in lowering blood pressure.
