Sleep apnea may cause serious eye problems

Sleep apnea has been tied to a risk for heart disease, and new research suggests it may harm your eyes as well. Researchers at the Mayo Clinic say that the vascular problems caused by obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) can lead to eye disorders such as floppy eyelid syndrome, optic neuropathy, and glaucoma. Experts recommend that people who suffer from OSA have their eyes screened, particularly if they have noticed any change in their vision.
