Sleep problems often last a year or more

Canadian researchers say that people who suffer from insomnia often endure the condition for quite some time. A study of insomnia, remission, and relapse found that 75 percent of the study's participants reported suffering for a year, while almost half of the participants had insomnia throughout the three-year study. Researchers found that about half of the study's participants went into remission during the course of the three years, but 26 percent of them eventually relapsed.
