Internet-based therapy may treat insomnia

A new software that uses quizzes, stories, and games may help people who suffer from insomnia, experts say. The Sleep Healthy Using the Internet, or SHUTi program, is a nine-week internet-based program that can help patients develop better sleep habits--particularly if they live in an area far from a sleep therapist. A study of 22 patients found that patients who used the software woke up fewer times and spent fewer minutes awake during the night, even six months after treatment.  Read full story >
