Cooling Cap May Prove a Breakthrough Against Insomnia

A water-filled cap my be a breakthrough in the fight against insomnia, a new study suggests. Researchers say the cap appears to lower the rate of "hyperarousal" caused by fear, anxiety, and stress, that is often present in insomniacs. In the most recent study, 12 people who wore the cap fell asleep almost as quickly as people who did not have insomnia. And researchers say the cap is an affordable, non-medical way to treat the sleep disorder.
