SoHealth Spotlight: Wireless Health Strategies
One of the best parts about my job is using social media to meet interesting people at the intersection of health, technology and the Internet. I’ve decided that I would like to share some of these experiences here on the SoHealth blog, as a collection of the people I think are pushing things in those areas. Here is my very first SoHealth Spotlight on Paul Sonnier:
If you’re looking for someone at the epicenter of mHealth, in beautiful San Diego, CA, with a finger on the pulse of wireless and health, then look no further than Paul Sonnier. Paul has created a movement on LinkedIn, with his 4,200 member Wireless Health Group, and he has just recently turned his attention to Twitter as well, @wirelesshealth1. His site, Wireless Health Strategies, is a great resource for all things wireless and health related… and I can personally highly recommend his 2011 Wireless Health Conference Circuit links, as they have saved me a lot of time trying to figure out where I need to be next year.
I got a chance to have a conversation with Paul over the phone last week and really enjoyed it. I blabbed on about how I think that scaling mHealth applications revolves around data collection, visualization and connection and he told me about some cool things that he knows are going on at the Center for Wireless & Population Systems going on at the University of California, San Diego.
If you want the scoop for yourself, sign up to Paul’s Wireless Health LinkedIn Group and join the conversation.
