Boomers to Shape mHealth?

That’s what this MIT report would have you believe, if you believe it. I don’t for two reasons: Boomers are fourth among age groups owning Smartphones and third from last when it comes to texting by age group… at least according to the charts below from 2010.
I understand that boomers are the “aging population” and they have the “spending power” to shape an emerging mHealth industry. But I’m not sure how to sell a healthy Smartphone app to someone who doesn’t own a Smartphone, or compel someone to text in health updates, if they don’t text.
