i thought i had just created a post but i don't know where it went.....  i am a 44 year old woman who thought that i had it under control.  i did have high blood pressure but i've had it since i was 12.  i figured the medication had it covered...

    Hi, Randilynne.

I can really relate to your comments about being obsessive - I was like that too. I would quit smoking over and over again and wonder each time how I could want something so badly (to be free of cigarettes) yet continue to be drawn back into the addiction.

Cigarettes masquerade as our best friends yet are truly our worst enemies. I would encourage you to use your passion for health and well-being and keep that front-of-mind whenever you think of relapsing. You have so much going for you, you can become a non-smoker if you keep your focus on the benefits of freedom. I wish you the best.

    peace,

    anne

thank you.  i think this is the hardest thing i've ever done(which probably makes me lucky).  just a few words of encouragement help renew the committment.  i really appreciate them
