Thanks for your note and congratulations on all your smoke-free days! I also used to look longingly at cigarette butts on the ground - it's amazing how low we'll stoop - even if we never act on it, to have our thoughts even go there is a little crazy. You're right to take it one day at a time - and sometimes it's even one hour or one minute at a time :).
For now you are free from the control of smoking and as long as you keep your thoughts on how good that feedom feels you are likely to remain free for good. I'll be thinking of you!!

It is amazing how you must have the same crazy person inside you. Your articles are an inspiration for me. I don't feel quite so alone. I am 42 days smoke-free. Every day gets a bit easier,but my crazy person thinks daily about having just one. Some times I see a cigbutt on the ground and for a moment think I could smoke that. How Gross! One day at a time, I continue to remind myself of being free. No more controlling substances!
