Most people do not succeed at quitting smoking the first time they try. Mark Twain was known to say, "Quitting smoking is easy. I've done it a thousand times." I know how he felt. I was one of those who had to quit over and over again before it finally worked.

    Thanks Anne for you post.  What it took for me is that I wanted to have a baby.  And though I had convinced myself that my smoking had nothing to do with why I wasn't able to get pregnant - as soon as I quit - I got pregnant!  I think I thought this way because my mom smoked and had no problems. 

     

    I believe most people follow this rule: if you want something badly enough you will try anything to make it happen.  I hope more people will try and quit because its just really, horribly nand for your health and that of the ones you love.
